So much business data is stored across multiple ‘systems’ that don’t talk to one another. Some may be in enterprise tools such as SAP. Some may be in shared Access databases, Excel spreadsheets, text files, QuickBooks, etc. In such an environment, it isn’t unusual for data to be manually entered in multiple systems to be able to use it for reporting. We find that practice offensive! Your computers should be able to do more of this wasteful act.

For instance, there are tools that allow for reading and writing data to and from the desktop version of QuickBooks.
